Dion's Story

Dion is ready for her new home - and trust us, it's all coming back to her now. An adult hound, she weighs about 40 lbs full grown. This social butterfly is active, friendly, and always ready to <br/>make new friends, both human and canine. Whether she's joining you for adventures, playdates, or just zooming around the yard, Dion brings main-character energy everywhere she goes. Dion settles beautifully in her crate, <br/>adapts quickly to routines, and would be an easy fit for most active homes looking for a fun, loving companion. She's the kind of dog who will have you saying, "Because you loved me" after just one weekend together. If you're looking for a pup whose heart will go on right beside you through hikes, couch cuddles, and everyday life, Dion may be your girl. Just be warned - once you meet her, it's hard to say goodbye.<br/>Weekend Host Feedback: "Dion was such a sweet and even tempered girl and my family and I really enjoyed her stay this past weekend. She played well with my dog who's a 70 lb American Bully male and my small children ages 4 & 6. She did well with leash walking and was fantastic in the car from Saving Grace and even took a long nap on the way back to SG. She did well sleeping in the crate at night and just needed treat motivation to get in the crate.<br/>Dion really enjoyed being outside. Her potty habits are a work in progress but by the end of the weekend she was getting it! She has a great personality and is the perfect size for any family. "<br/>Weekend Host Feedback: "Dion is a great girl and was so fun to host. She is still working on basic commands like sit but understands 'no' and gentle correction, plus is potty trained. She was fantastic on the leash and encountered other dogs and people with polite curiosity. She settles but has good energy and loves to explore, making her a wonderful potential adventure buddy. We also tested out running for a bit and I was impressed - she keeps a comfortable pace and I think would make a great jogging companion. She is extremely gentle when taking treats and food, plus calm while in her crate and while riding in the car. She is also pretty quiet for a hound; I heard her bark only once or twice. All these great traits aside, the best thing about Dion is her personality - she is so silly and made me laugh so much."

Saving Grace Animals for Adoption's Adoption Policy
All puppies and dogs at Saving Grace are crate trained, have been spayed/neutered, are up to date on their vaccinations, are on heartworm preventative and have been microchipped. Their adoption fee is $395.00. Each has been carefully screened for disposition and temperament in order to provide your home with a safe companion that will enjoy life as your new family member. Our Adoption Request Form can be completed online at our website at https://savinggracenc.org/adopt/. An Adoption Request Form is required before setting up an appointment to meet with a potential adoptee or a foster home. Sending an Adoption Form does not commit you to an adoption, it simply provides us with background information on potential homes. If you'd like to donate to help cover the cost of care for these wonderful dogs awaiting new homes, please visit the donate page on our website at https://savinggracenc.org/give/donate-now/. Saving Grace is a small, non-profit 501-C3 organization operated by volunteers only. Most of our animals come from rural animal control shelters where lack of space and resources limit their time and adoption possibilities. Thank you for choosing Saving Grace! We look forward to helping you find your new companion and family member.
