Dino's Story
On a cold January evening, Dino arrived at the shelter scared, unsure, and overwhelmed by a world he didn’t understand. At just 44 pounds, this little guy tried to make himself as small as possible, finding comfort tucked away in the back of his kennel beneath a blanket. His past is unknown, but it’s clear life hasn’t always been kind to him. Dino is a nervous dog who will need an experienced, adult only home where he can decompress and move at his own pace. Trust doesn’t come quickly for him, and he isn’t ready for hands on affection right away but when given time, patience, and understanding, Slowly but surely Dino began to show glimpses of the gentle soul beneath his fear and has learned to trust his buddies here at the shelter! So with time and patience, Dino will blossom into the loving dog his buddies now know him as. Dino is absolutely worth the time and the love it will take to help him discover that the world can be a beautiful place.

If you are interested in learning more contact our placement team at the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter:
E: Adoption@hempsteadny.gov
E: Foster@hempsteadny.gov
E: Rescue@hempsteadny.gov
T. 516.785.5220

#Adoptme #brindleterrier #brindledog #adoption #rescue #rescueismyfavoritebreed #opttoadopt
