DINGLE's Story
Dingle came into the shelter with two other German Shepherds and was the shyest of the group. With care and patience, she has relaxed a bit and is learning to trust. A suburban environment with toys, walks, and commands appears new to her (“what is this ‘sit’ you speak of?”), but there is a big, beautiful brain working behind those soulful eyes and we are confident that she’ll learn quickly. With a bit of time and a lot of love, she’ll blossom into a dedicated companion, perfect for both an individual and a family home. She’ll thrive with a pal, so consider her as an addition to your pack (or adopt two!). From her day hike on 4/2: Dingle is such a sweet girl. She was a bit overwhelmed initially on the bike path, so we bailed to the quiet side streets. Once she settled into the walk, we returned to the path and she walked like a champ. We stopped for coffee and she laid down and waited patiently will I sipped my cup o' joe. Like all dogs, Dingle doesn't like sudden, loud noises and cringes accordingly. With regular walks with a trusted human, she'll build confidence. Most importantly, she wasn't reactive to dogs or humans (but runners seemed perplexing). Dingle is currently in a foster home.
