Dillon's Story

Dillon is a 10/11 month old 20kg (ish) potentially short haired pointer type mix who was dumped inside our front door in a plastic bag with his 4 siblings when he was only around 8 weeks old. He was only 2kg at the time and so reserved that he would find tiny crevices in the furniture and hide in them for hours, he unfortunately tested positive for giardia and Parvo Virus as did all his siblings but with lots of love and care, all survived! We were worried about Dillon because he was so shut down for quite some weeks but you would never know it now! He has come out of his shell so much and he is such a loving boy!

Dillon is great at meeting dogs on walks on or off leash and has 60+ friends at the daycare he goes to three days a week, he loves smaller dogs as well as bigger ones although he is very bouncy so he would probably stress a fearful tiny dog out. He is very food motivated and warms to people quite quickly. He has boundless energy and would happily hike all day long, he is fabulous off leash on hiking trails and at the beach. He comes running pretty frequently and keeps perfect pace with a hands free leash and is a joy to run with. He can get excited and jump up but he's willing to listen if you are firm with him when telling him to stop jumping up. He does want to chase cats and chickens but is scared of farm animals and will pretend he can´t see them when we walk past cows or horses. He would be a truly incredible addition to an active family.
