I am an older, distinguished gentleman looking to find a retirement home! Let me tell you a bit about myself to find my perfect, forever home.

This feels a bit strange for me to say about myself, but my foster parents insisted I start off strong with this so here we go... I am literal perfection. Yup. I said it! I am sweeter than pie, I love to snuggle, I am potty trained, they have never heard me bark and I am good with the other dogs here! They joke that I live for two things: cuddling and begging for human food. I know, I know. It's a bad habit and I know I shouldn't do it, but boy have I perfected it! Level: expert. Foster mom jokes that my puppy dog eyes, and my sad little noises make her want to give me the entire meal she's eating. She doesn't, to my dismay, but every once in awhile she sneaks me a little bite. *evil laugh*

Saying that I love to snuggle may be the understatement of the century. It's my happy place and I will follow you anywhere you go to be with you. You're in bed? Perfect, I'll lay right next to you. Preferably under the blankets. You're sitting on the couch? Perfect, I'll lay right next to you. Again, preferably you have a blanket. I just want to be in your lap or snuggling next to you. I truly could spend the rest of my days happy just doing that! If you don't allow your dog on the couch or in the bed, I'm probably not the right fit for you because that would be devastating for my old man self.

I overhear my foster parents constantly talk about how much they wish they could keep me. They swear if they could, they would! My foster mom is pretty much obsessed with me. She's always talking about my cute, stubby legs, smooching me a million times a day and laughing when I prance around the house- ears bopping along.

I am on a prescription kidney diet and a med because my kidney values were high when I arrived in rescue. The values have improved with these things so they will be important to continue for me moving forward! I just wanted to mention that because that does add a little thought into considering my adoption.

I don't need much besides a good place to nap, some treats and lots of love. I'm a simple guy that enjoys the finer things in life. If you're looking for a low maintenance gentleman that has perfected napping next to his human, look no further!

Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional's recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal's history is often unknown. All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives prior to adoption.

The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a physical location where you can stop by to visit the animals - we require the completion of an Adoption Request Form prior to meeting any of our adoptable pets in foster care. For the most complete information regarding this animal, and all of our adoptable pets, please ensure you are visiting our website directly at www.RescueCrew.org. You can also access the necessary online forms here as well.

The Rescue Crew's Adoption Policy
Thank you for your interest in adopting a pet through The Rescue Crew! Your desire to provide a loving forever home to a rescued animal helps us in our shared goal to “Save a Life Today.” We are a completely volunteer-run, foster-based rescue, which means all of our animals live in home environments—not kennels—while they await adoption. This allows us to learn as much as possible about each pet’s personality, preferences, and needs so we can help make the best possible match for both the animal and the adopter. Our adoption process may take a little time, and you might notice we ask a lot of questions. That’s because we want to ensure a lasting and happy match for everyone involved. There are no “right” or “wrong” answers—these questions simply help us guide you toward the pet who will fit best with your family, lifestyle, and expectations. Many of the animals who come into our care have faced hardship, uncertainty, or even the risk of euthanasia. Our mission is to give them a second chance—and to place them in loving, responsible, lifelong homes where they can finally feel safe and secure. If you see an animal you’re interested in, please submit an application through our website at www.rescuecrew.org/adoption-basics as soon as possible. Submitting an application does not obligate you to adopt, but it will help ensure your place in line for that animal—or another pet who might be a perfect match. Thank you for choosing adoption and for helping us continue our lifesaving work. Together, we’re giving hope and homes to animals who need them most.
