I’ve bounced around a bit over the years and its left me with some separation anxiety. You don’t have to hold and cuddle me non-stop, just being around you will make me content. It may take me sometime to warm up to you or maybe we will have an instant connection. Either way, if you are understanding and patient with me our bond is sure to grow.<br/><br/>I like dogs, cats, kids and adults. I can be indifferent with people initially. But I still listen. I know sit, down, and stay commands. I came to rescue skinny and looking for food non-stop. This led me to table surfing. But with chairs pushed in and constant rule reminders I’m getting better. I’d likely counter surf for a snack too if I could reach that high. Though I may not let you use the bathroom alone, I’m independent enough to go potty outside on my own. In a fenced in yard of course. I enjoy walks in the neighborhood to do my business as well. Crates aren’t for me. I’m super sweet and listen well except when it comes to going in a crate. I’m a bed sleeper, as in my human’s bed. I will happily fall asleep on the couch but don’t expect me to stay there all night. Other medical needs diagnosed while in foster care are also treated prior to adoption.<br/><br/>MABTR requires a fenced in area from families who own their home, however we DO adopt to apartment complexes and communities where fences are not permitted due to leases and covenants. In these cases a leash law must be enforced.
