Diesel has waited longer than anyone else… and he deserves so much more than a kennel. 🖤<br/><br/>This 6-year-old Lab mix weighs 61 pounds and has spent too much of his life without stability. Before arriving at the shelter as a stray, Diesel had already been tossed from home to home. Through it all, he is still here—still hoping someone will finally choose him forever.<br/><br/>Diesel can be nervous in new situations and needs time to trust, but the progress he has made with our staff has been incredible. He does tend to feel more comfortable with females than males, though with patience and kindness he has learned to trust some of our male staff as well.<br/><br/>He would thrive with an adopter who will let him move at his own pace and help him continue building confidence. Diesel may be able to live with another dog if it’s the right fit. He has previously lived with children, though we haven’t seen him around kids here at the shelter.<br/><br/>Diesel doesn’t need perfection—he just needs someone willing to believe in him.
