Diego's Story

Meet Diego: Professional Snuggle Consultant, Water Dog & First Mate in Training

Are you missing unconditional love, tiny emotional-support kisses, and a shadow that follows you into every room like a furry little intern? Diego is ready to apply for the position.

This sweet, shy gentleman has a heart of gold and the soulful eyes of someone who definitely heard you open a cheese stick from three rooms away. While he may be a little reserved when first meeting new people, once he warms up, Diego transforms into a certified cuddle missile—happily climbing into laps, giving kisses, and supervising all household activities from directly beside your feet.

Recently, Diego discovered his inner sailor and proudly earned the title of First Mate on his very first paddleboard adventure. He took to the water like a natural, proving he may secretly be part sea captain. Whether it's hiking a mountain trail, camping under the stars, or cruising across calm water, Diego is always ready for his next adventure.

Diego's Special Skills Include:

Professional-level snuggling

Respecting cats' and dogs' personal space like a tiny furry diplomat

Being gentle and affectionate with children

Walking politely on leash like the distinguished gentleman he is

Crate trained and house trained

Looking ridiculously adorable while doing absolutely nothing

First-time paddleboard enthusiast and aspiring captain

Certified water dog and adventure buddy

Diego would thrive with someone who enjoys getting outside and making memories. Hiking? He's in. Camping? Absolutely. Paddleboarding? He already has experience on the résumé. Casual neighborhood stroll where he can dramatically inspect one leaf for four straight minutes? That's his specialty.

Located near Longmont, Colorado, Diego is searching for his forever family—one with love, patience, snacks, and maybe a couch he can "accidentally" take over.

Warning: Adopting Diego may result in excessive smiling, reduced personal space, and hearing "WHO'S A GOOD BOY?" leave your mouth approximately 47 times per day.

Come meet Diego and discover whether your new best friend—and future First Mate—has already been waiting for you.
