Diane’s FAQs

What is Recycled Doggies’s adoption process?

Our adoption fee is $195.  All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative (tested if over 8 months), dewormed, and microchipped.  Our dogs live in volunteer foster homes until they are adopted.  Since we don't have a shelter or facility, we introduce our dogs to potential adopters at our weekend adoption events.  You must apply and be approved prior to adopting from Recycled Doggies. We do not adopt outside our area, which we define as within 2 hours driving distance of downtown Cincinnati (zip code 45202). Check google maps to see if you are within our adoption area. We don't make exceptions, as this restriction is in place for the protection of our dogs. As an all volunteer organization, we can't drop everything on a moment's notice to travel more than 2 hours (4 hours round trip) to get a dog back if an adoption does not work out.
