Diana's Story

Her royal highness, Diana, Princess of Pitties, seeks a palace of her own. She is a 2-year-old pit mix and weighs about 65 lbs. While Diana has charm and charisma fit for a queen, oftentimes her jester side comes out and she shows off her silliness with zoomies alongside her dog friends in the yard or at doggy daycare. She also enjoys tossing her favorite toy in the air for an independent game of fetch!

Diana takes some time getting comfortable meeting new people, preferring to get to know them at her own pace, and she feels most comfortable around women. Once she trusts you, her loyalty and affection shine as brightly as her crown.

She has also stayed in boarding while her foster family was on vacation and was a perfect guest. She loves going for walks to explore her queen-dom and playing with toys in the backyard! If she is offered a bone, Diana easily retires to her chambers (ahem, her crate) or will settle on her throne (the couch or dog bed—she’s not picky!). Could your home be the palace fit for this pittie princess?

All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home.

We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application.

We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information.

We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. If you are outside of this radius, we encourage you to contact your local rescue or shelter.

Adopt A Pit Rescue's Adoption Policy
If you are interested in one of our fine furry friends, please fill out the adoption application at http://www.adoptapitrescue.org/apply. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs, so please do not email us asking when/where you can meet an adoptable dog. We do not have a shelter location and we absolutely will not arrange a meeting without an approved application. A vet and landlord check (if applicable) is completed on every submitted application. Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a home visit with the adoptable dog. Please keep in mind that we are volunteer run and we all have lives, families and pets of our own, so it may take up to 2 weeks to hear back from us, depending upon the volume of applications we are handling, the ability to reach your vet and/or landlord, and whether the information you provided is accurate/complete. We appreciate your patience and understanding. We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can email us for more information.
