Diamond's Story
Diamond is my name, and lately life has been a little rough. My family had to make the difficult decision to surrender me when they moved into a rental where dogs weren't allowed. It probably didn't help that I announced every passerby with my best "banshee howl." Add a busy toddler, a brand-new baby, and very little time left for me, and suddenly I found myself looking for a fresh start.

The good news? I am a very sweet girl who absolutely adores people. I love attention, affection, and being part of family life. I've lived with young children and would be happy in a home with respectful kids over the age of eight.

Now, about other dogs... that's where things get a little more complicated. When I was young, I was attacked by three adult dogs, and it left a lasting impression. Instead of helping me rebuild my confidence around well-mannered dogs, my family simply avoided those situations altogether. As a result, my social skills with other canines are a bit rusty. For now, I would be happiest as your one and only pet. Trust me, I have enough love, kisses, cuddles, and tail wags to fill the role of an entire pack.

At just 3½ years old, I am in that wonderful stage where I still enjoy regular walks and adventures, but I'm not bouncing off the walls with endless energy. Once I've had some exercise and you're nearby, I'm perfectly content to relax and enjoy your company.

I think training classes would be a wonderful investment for both of us. Not only would they help boost my confidence, but they would also strengthen the bond between us and make our neighbourhood walks even more enjoyable.

Animatch has also discovered that I do best on a special food that keeps my sensitive skin from getting itchy. With the right diet and not too many extra treats, I'm feeling much more comfortable.

More than anything, I miss having a family of my own. The volunteers at Animatch are doing everything they can to make me feel loved, but a shelter can never replace a real home. If you're looking for a loyal companion with a big heart and a lot of love to give, perhaps this Diamond is exactly the gem you've been searching for.

Fill out an application—you just might be the lucky one who gets to take this Diamond home.

BREED
Pittbull
GENDER
Female
AGE
2.5 years
SIZE
Large
CHILDREN
8+
DOG FRIENDLY
No
CAT FRIENDLY
No
ENERGY LEVEL
Medium High
GROOMING LEVEL

TO APPLY FOR ADOPTION OF THIS DOG, PLEASE VISIT OUR WEB SITE: www.animatch.ca AND FILL THE APPLICATION ON LINE.
*** calls and e-mails will not be answered ***
