Dharma's Story

Meet Dharma!

Dharma is a beautiful brown and black Pug mix who is about 2 years old and weighs approximately 2530 pounds. At the heart of everything she does, Dharma simply wants to be loved.

She has a fun, playful side and especially enjoys romping around with her buddy, Pixel. The two of them can keep each other entertained for hours! Once playtime is over, though, Dharma settles down quickly and is perfectly happy relaxing beside her favorite people.

Dharma is an endlessly curious girl who likes to investigate everything around her. Sometimes she approaches new things with a little caution—a toy she hasn't seen before in the yard or an unfamiliar object in the house might seem suspicious at first. But once she has a chance to check it out, she quickly realizes there's nothing to worry about and happily moves on.

She loves people and gets along well with cats. She's also good with most dogs after a slow introduction, although larger dogs can make her a little nervous. She's never aggressive—just a sensitive girl who appreciates a little patience while she builds confidence. Dharma also does well with calm, respectful children.

Dharma has made great progress with her house training. Crate training has helped her develop a good routine, and she keeps her kennel clean while waiting to go outside. With continued consistency, she'll continue to thrive.

When it's time to cuddle, Dharma is all in! She loves curling up with her people and occasionally forgets she's a little bigger than the average lap dog. If you don't mind sharing your lap with a sweet girl who thinks she fits perfectly, Dharma will happily soak up every bit of affection.

With her playful spirit, gentle heart, growing confidence, and endless love to give, Dharma is ready to find a patient, loving family who will help her continue to blossom into the amazing companion she's meant to be. ***PLEASE EMAIL ADOPT@VALLEYDOGS.ORG for an adoption application.
