Dezi's Story

Dezi had been spotted on a mountain trail for over a month. Hikers and nearby homeowners tried in vein to lure the terrified pooch to safety. After many weeks had passed, Dezi was humanely trapped. Dezi was terribly thin, he had recent scarring on the left side of his head and ear, indicating that another dog, or perhaps a coyote, had roughed him up. What was evident was that Dezi has had a hard first year of life. It has taken Dezi some time to decompress. He absolutely loves being off of the mountain and in a home that has established a routine that includes a lot of cuddling, snoring, some romping, a nice walk, and more snoring. Here is the thing with Dezi....when he meets new people, he is really timid and scared. But once he feels comfortable with you, he becomes the biggest lap dog, couch potato you can find. He loves to place his big block head a lap, he loves to romp and play with other dogs....loves water...the hose....he is a lot of fun. But Dezi is always timid when new people enter in his life. But once he is comfortable, Dezi is the most wonderful companion. He will need a patient, understanding person to help him continue his journey. We never gave up on Dezi and he has shown us what a sweet, happy, funny boy he is. Dezi is approximately 4 years old. He is beautiful, so handsome. He gets along great with most dogs he meets and we believe he would do just fine with cats.
If you are interested in adopting Dezi ($200 donation), please take a moment and fill out an application:

https://povertyspets.org/application/

An application is a must.
