Now he’s traded in that “urgent list” for the “Dean’s List,” and he’s ready to meet his forever family.<br/><br/>Dexter is about 1–3 years old, a pittie mix and 100% goofball. He’ll keep you laughing with his silly antics, but don’t be fooled—he’s smart as a whip and loves showing off everything he’s learned. ✠̈ Fresh out of a month-long professional training program, Dexter now:<br/><br/>âœ... Walks like a gentleman and heels on command<br/><br/>âœ... Knows “sit,” “place,” and waits at doorways like a polite little scholar<br/><br/>âœ... Is crate trained, house trained, and (we’re pretty sure) secretly proud of it<br/><br/>âœ... Loves to play—because brains and zoomies can definitely coexist<br/><br/>Living with a foster family, Dexter continues to learn and patiently waits for his forever people to come knocking. His foster mom says he’s wonderful with other dogs and never turns down a good play session. Best part? Even though he loves doggie friends, he won’t drag you down the block to meet them—so you can skip the weightlifting class and still enjoy a stroll.<br/><br/>He’s full of joyful “young dog energy,” so he’s looking for an active home where adventures—hikes, car rides, or exploring new places—are part of the deal. Because of his training, Dexter is eager to keep learning, which makes bonding with him extra rewarding. He’s not just smart, he’s fun to train. (Thinking about dog sports?
