He came to the rescue with a similar sad story: someone decided to dump this puppy to fend for himself. At only 4 months old, Dewey was obviously not able to survive on his own, but he used his puppy smarts (and his adorable ears) to finagle his way into a foster home. Dewey is now crate trained and doing very well with potty training. He has settled into his routine and is enjoying life as a puppy, doing puppy things like romping around the yard, sniffing the resident cats, playing with his doggy sibling and chasing toys around. He is a very sweet, affectionate puppy, who will shower you with little kisses. Dewey is obviously still learning the difference between chew toys and shoes, but he's a smart pup and picks things up easily. He is generally pretty brave but can be frightened by really loud noises, like the lawnmower. Dewey is beginning to work on his leash manners too, though he would much prefer to run free outdoors. He is also learning some basic obedience and has shown himself to be one smart puppy. As a hound, Dewey would do well with a secure, fenced yard and a reasonable activity level, that would allow him to both explore and use his sniffer, and also burn off some of that puppy energy. Then he can return home and snuggle up next to you. This little cutie would love to find his new home soon, so ask to meet him today! (Note: Dewey is not yet neutered but will be prior to transport)

Our organization only adopts within the United States and Canada.

Faith and Hope is an established rescue group based in Texas but delivers to multiple states on the East and West Coast. All dogs and cats are rescued from the state of Texas to be transported to Washington, Oregon, Colorado, Utah, Connecticut, Virginia, Maryland, and others, with placement in their adoptive familys homes. Our $700 adoption fee includes all core vaccinations (DHPP, rabies), spay/neuter, microchip and transportation.

If interested in learning more, please email us at faithandhopeadoptions@gmail.com or fill out our online application.

https://www.faithandhopefoundation.org/adoptionapp

If you are interested in learning more about our adoptable pets, the adoption process, or our home based foster program, please contact us at the above email.

Due to the number of requests that we receive on our adoptable pets, please be advised that all adoption applications are processed in the order received.
