Are you looking for a goofy, fun loving, very affectionate cuddly bug??? Dewey just might be your man! Dewey is a 15 year old hound mix who is just a puppy at heart. Dewey is easy going and chill but don't let that 15 year age mark deter you! Dewey still has so much life to live and we promise, if you adopt Dewey, he will bring you a smile at least once a day!

Below are Dewey's highlights and things to know.

-Dewey is very well trained inside. He always goes potty outside either on a leash or in the fenced yard.
-Dewey is not familiar with a crate but does not necessarily need one. He does well confined to one room or even loose in the house.
-When Dewey is left alone, he grabs a stuffy and lays down.
-Dewey would be in heaven if his new mom or dad let him snuggle up in the bed with them at night but he understands if he is not allowed
-Dewey's all time favorite his stuffies but shares them with others without an issue. If it were up to Dewey he would carry one around in his mouth at ALL times
-Dewey has never met a stranger….he wants them to love on him instantly. He is a giant love bug.
-With new dogs, Dewey is very submissive but overall disinterested in other dogs. He is tolerant while they sniff him but doesn’t seek them out.
-Dewey and cats... Oh Dewey. He wants to play instantly and is overwhelming to most cats. He has learned the cat in his current foster home is off limits but it took some time.
-His favorite pastime is snuggling and be loved on.
-Dewey loves a car ride!
-Unfortunately, Dewey has started showing signs of dementia :( This means he does not always understand what is going on around him and can take several minutes to clear his head and realize he knows where he is. Due to this, we are looking for a home for Dewey where it is pretty low key without and lot of hubbub going on in the household. If you have a soft spot for this old man to land and enjoy the rest of his life, please consider putting in an application to adopt Dewey. He would really love to find a home to enjoy his golden years in.

What’s not to love? He is an amazing and super sweet dog. He loves people and just wants to snuggle on the sofa or in the bed with you.
