Destiny's Story
I am certain that Destiny is destined to go to a great new home. 😊She is just a wonderful girl that lost her home through no fault of her own.

Destiny is a spayed female Hound mix medium sized dog weighing 64 lbs. and we are estimating her age at around 5 – 6 years old. If you have seen her pictures, you already know what a gorgeous girl she is. You can get a better look at her by watching her video on Petfinder where she is off leash in our exercise yard.

Many people want to know if a dog is house-trained. I always answer them by saying all our dogs were in someone’s home for an extended period and you must assume they have had training. Just please give Destiny a week or two to adapt to a new home and routine. She is a smart dog and will learn quickly.

Destiny was strong on just a slip lead, and she will need your patience while learning to walk alongside you. A harness would help considerably, and we would provide you with both a harness and leash at the time of adoption.

I spent some time with her in our exercise yard and would describe her energy level as medium. I learned she loves chasing tennis balls and can entertain herself with one. Destiny did a nice sit command for me but wasn’t too impressed with my tiny little milk bones and spit them out. I’m guessing she knows some other commands as well but will have to be a treat with a lot more value to her. 😊 Once she had a chance to check out the yard, she was happy to spend some time with me and enjoy the attention I gave her.

If you already have a dog(s) in your home, there will be a meet & greet at the shelter.

Destiny needs your help. She needs you to get her out of her kennel so she can demonstrate what a good dog she is and worthy of a forever loving and caring home. I believe just a few minutes of your time is all she needs to convince you that she is the companion you have been looking for. Please give her a chance. You won’t be sorry.
