Our standard application processing timeline is 12 - 14 days. <br/><br/>Personality | <br/><br/>Story | Pulled from a high-kill shelter in Mississippi before making his way to Colorado to become a mountain pup!<br/><br/>Other Dogs | Good with other dogs! He's being fostered with multiple dogs of all different sizes and doing great!<br/><br/>Cats | Joey is being fostered with cats in Mississippi and doing well. He ignores the kitties!<br/><br/>Children | Joey is being fostered with a year old and a seven year old and is a total sweetheart with them!<br/><br/>Training | He is crate trained and potty trained! He'll go on car rides if required but isn't a fan of being loaded in and out of the car. <br/><br/>Leash | He walks well on the leash!<br/><br/>Activity Level | <br/><br/>Health Notes | Joey was heartworm positive when he was pulled from the shelter but he recently completed his heartworm injections and exercise restrictions with the his foster in Mississippi. He will need to be retested for heartworms in January 2027 and is expected to be negative. Since the heartworms should have died within the first month after receiving the injections, he shouldn't need any exercise restrictions moving forward and can go on all the Colorado adventures! :)<br/><br/>Thank you! | <br/><br/>Adoption Donations | Our adoption donations are $575 for dogs 8 weeks to 1 year old, $525 for 1 - 6 years old, $475 for dogs 7 - 10 years old, and $350 for 11+ years of age. Purebred dogs regardless of age are $625. These minimum donations help to defer the costs of initial vet care, food, transportation to Colorado, and supplies while in foster care (that currently average over $750 per dog).
