What is All Ears Basset Sanctuary Inc’s adoption process?

We rescue dogs from all over the United States, and we adopt them out to people primarily in New Mexico, Colorado and surrounding states. If you look through our list of Adoptable Dogs, you will see that a dog is located in one of those areas. But don't let that deter you from falling in love with one of our dogs!! We transport dogs between Albuquerque and Denver on a regular basis. If you live outside of those areas, call us to discuss other arrangements.  All our dogs are in foster homes, so please allow several days to set up a meet & greet with any of our dogs.  We do NOT have a facility where they can be visited. What is Derrick’s adoption fee?

$200

Is Derrick good with kids?

Derrick is good with kids under the age of 5 and kids over the age of 5.

Is Derrick good with other animals?

Derrick is good with other dogs. It is not known if Derrick is good with cats.

When can I meet Derrick?

As soon as the adoption organization has a chance to review your information, they’ll reach out with next steps and timing.

When can I adopt Derrick?

Time to adopt varies, but typically adoption organizations require an official application prior to adoption. If you’re a match, they’ll reach out with next steps and timing.
