Derora's Story

Meet Derora, a sweet and resilient girl who has overcome a very difficult past of neglect. She is learning to trust and feel safe, and with patience and love, her gentle, affectionate nature shines through.

Derora thrives in a calm, patient home where she can be the center of attention, as she needs to be an only pet to feel secure and confident. She enjoys quiet companionship, gentle pets, and the comfort of a loving family who can give her the time and care she deserves.

If you’re looking for a devoted, loving companion who will reward your patience with trust, loyalty, and affection, Derora is ready to find her forever home.

Volunteer Perspective:
Now that Derora is in the empty-nest stage of life, she is focusing on her own hobbies and self care. She enjoys car rides, chew toys, and playing fetch and tug. After walking or playing, Derora loves to cuddle up next to you to rest up for the next adventure. I think she’s smaller than she looks in photos- she’s about a lap and a half dog. This sweet girl is looking for someone to be the center of her world!
