Derby's Story
Derby loves people, seems to be unfazed by other dogs. His foster mom says he would be best with another dog who is calm and confident or one that isn’t fazed by him. He would also do well just being an only dog to a family! He is potty and crate trained. His foster mom says he’s a fast learner and very trainable. He also loves following humans around the house! He has no separation anxiety and sleeps well in his crate at night and when left at home.

He’s learning to walk on a leash and is getting better and better by the day. His foster mom is teaching him how to pull less on the leash and he’s learning! He shows interest and curiosity when dogs pass him but doesn’t show any aggression.

His favorite thing is being in the car. He responds really well to firm verbal commands and loves structure in the home! He isn’t a barker and can be a picky eater. He knows a bunch of basic commands and is very easily trainable and eager to please! He can be a bit spooked out by loud noises from buses or trucks. He LOVES playing with toys, chasing balls, and can get hyper fixated on them which his foster mom is helping him to work on.
