Derby's Story
Derby is neutered and fully healthy! He is up to date on vaccines. He is also microchipped! Derby is living in a foster home. Fill out our quick adoption survey, and then we can set up a phone call or meet and greet with the foster!

: Reliably potty trained and lets you know when they need to go outside.
: Prefers to be free-roam to a doggy-proofed area as opposed to a crate.
: Will benefit from continued training. Tends to bark/pull/jump on leash towards other dogs and/or people and will benefit from a calm neighborhood and experienced handler, or a backyard.
: Prefers to Be the Only Dog: Happiest as the center of attention and does best without other dogs in the home.
: Not Cat Friendly: Does not do well with cats and should live in a cat-free home.
: Best with Older Kids: Would thrive in a home with older, dog-savvy children who can respect their boundaries.

Derby loves to be where the people are, and will sit in whatever room you are working or relaxing in. He loves his people, his loyalty is unmatched. He is a very expressive boy, don't let the sad eyes fool you! We love his companionship and desire to be by your side at all times. Derby is not food motivated, but loves freshly cooked chicken breast! He can be playful but is happy to chill when you need some R&R. He loves pets, especially his belly rubs and face scratches. He is the sweetest boy looking for someone to love him.

: This pet has not been DNA tested, we are unsure of their actual breed makeup, but these are the breeds we think they look like!

: Derby's adoption fee has been sponsored by a generous donor and he is eager to share his heart and life with his forever family!

: Next steps: Email adopt@onetail.org with questions, or submit an application online and we'll be in touch to schedule a meeting: https://www.onetail.org/apply-to-adopt/. Our adoption application stays on file for one year and can apply to any dog in our program. Once the app is submitted you will receive an email within 48-72 hours.
