Denver's Story

Hi there! My name is Denver, and I'm an almost 8-month-old Blue Weimaraner. I was born on November 25, 2025, and I even have a handsome white patch on my chest that makes me extra special.

I am neutered and have my dewclaws removed. I'm also potty trained and will let you know when I need to go outside. No guessing games required!
I'm everything you'd expect from a puppy—energetic, lovable, playful, and always ready for my next adventure. But after a busy day, I transform into a world-class snuggler. I love curling up on the couch and sleeping in bed with my people. Honestly, I'm happiest when I'm right beside my family.

I spend a few hours each week in my crate, but it isn't my favorite place. I get anxious and drool a lot because I'd much rather be with my humans.
I know how to sit and have had official training, so I understand what "down" and other commands mean. I just happen to be a little stubborn and occasionally prefer doing things my own way. Don't worry—I usually come around and do what I'm told... eventually.

I'm looking for an active family with patience and plenty of time to keep my mind busy. A tired puppy is a good puppy, and I love having things to do.
One of my favorite games is fetch. I'll happily chase the ball and bring it back to you. Giving it up, though? Well, I think that's part of the game too! I also love plush toys and absolutely adore knotted ropes. Tug-of-war is one of my specialties. As for stuffed toys like LambChops and birds, I consider them my personal de-stuffing projects. Don't worry—I don't eat the stuffing. I just enjoy pulling it out, so you may want to keep a healthy supply of backup LambChops on hand.

I have a normal prey drive and enjoy chasing squirrels and bunnies around the yard. I also love car rides, although I'm still working on staying put in my seat.
I've never been fed from the table, but if I smell something delicious, I may investigate the countertops. I'm also still practicing my "off" command.
Storms and fireworks don't bother me at all. I enjoy going for walks and do fairly well on a leash, though I could use some work on my heel command. I simply like to get where I'm going! One of my favorite things is visiting the family farm and running free.

I eat a mix of Purina Pro Plan Puppy and Ollie wet food twice a day from my elevated bowls.
If I think of anything else, I'll let you know. For now, I'm just looking for a family who will laugh at my puppy antics, be patient with my stubborn streak, and love me for the sweet, goofy, cuddly boy that I am. I am now in Louisville, KY.
And to the family writing this for me... I know this is breaking your heart. Please know you've helped make me the wonderful boy I am, and I'll carry that love with me wherever I go.
Application for adoption is on our website, https://www.louisvilleweimrescue.com/adoption-application/
