Dempsey! This fun loving, energetic boy is about 3 years old and looks like a small pit terrier mix. He only weighs 25 pounds!<br/><br/>He is like a bouncy ball and a pro athlete combined. Dempsey would thrive with an active family, if you've ever been curious about agility or other dog sports this is your chance! He's compact and is great in the car too, so travelling with him is easy peasy. Dempsey loves being with his person and would do best with someone who wants a constant companion. He loves going on outings with his foster family and has visited several restaurant patios where he has sat quietly and happily while his foster family eats. He would love to explore anywhere and anything with his person. <br/><br/>He is crate trained and while he still barks initially when crated he does settle down quickly. He sleeps through the night in a crate next to the bed with no issues. He is also fully potty trained!<br/><br/>One little quirk, Dempsey has a misaligned jaw which was evaluated at MedVet and determined to likely be an old fracture that healed incorrectly but this does not slow him down one bit! He still loves a good chew stick and the only thing his foster family has noticed is that he does better with a soft food diet. His off center smile just adds to his completely adorable and friendly personality.<br/><br/>He would also likely do well with other dogs that are high energy and like to play. He knows sit, shake and stand already. And did we mention he is completely house trained??<br/><br/>Adoption fee is $375 and includes spay/neuter, microchip, fecal/deworming, vaccines and prevention up to date. Ohio residents only.<br/><br/>STS is a foster-based and volunteer-run rescue. We do not have a physical location or set hours for you to meet dogs, and it does take time to answer each inquiry. All dogs are in foster homes and once an application is approved and a home visit is completed you will be able to schedule meet and greets with available dogs.
