Della's Story

Della, formerly an Arctic Rescue dog named Sky, is a senior female looking for the comfort of a forever family who is prepared to cater to her needs. Della has hearing loss, blindness, and some special needs with bathroom breaks. She is very sweet, friendly, calm, and trusting. Della is not super high energy, and could fit a family looking for an older, chill husky. She deserves a safe place to land, where she can relax and feel at home. All Arctic Rescue dogs are marked "yes" to "Needs Experienced Adopter". This is because Northern Breeds typically have higher exercise, training, and care requirements than others. HOW OUR ADOPTIONS WORK: 1) We require all adopters to fill out an online application at: https://www.arcticrescue.com/adopt 2) We are a Utah-based rescue. All potential adopters must come to Utah and meet the dogs. We do not transport dogs. 3) We want to make sure that your home is the perfect fit for one of our dogs and vice versa. We want all members of the family to be happy and well matched with each-other, so require families to do a phone interview, reference checks, meet dogs and pass a home-inspection before adoption.
