Delilah (FOSTERED LOCALLY)'s Story

Meet Delilah — a beautiful 2-3 year old Cattle Dog with the softest eyes and a heart that's still learning the world can be safe. Delilah didn't come to us with much socialization, so new people and environments are very scary for her right now. She is not aggressive in the slightest — just incredibly shy and unsure — and she's looking for a calm, patient home willing to let her move at her own pace.

Delilah will need a very special adopter who understands that trust with her will be earned slowly, through consistency, kindness, and zero pressure. She's the kind of dog who may take weeks or even months to fully come out of her shell, but watching her learn to feel safe and loved will be unbelievably rewarding for the right person. Because of her timid nature, she'd do best in a quieter home without young children.

One thing we do know? Delilah seems to enjoy the company of other dogs and may really benefit from having a confident canine friend around to help show her the ropes. She has also done really well with the felines in her foster home! If you have a soft spot for the wallflowers, the underdogs, and the pups who just need someone to believe in them, Delilah might be waiting for you.

MA license #0092
