Delilah's Story

Hey there Delilah.....

Delilah is a goofy 4 year old corgi, approx 35#, with a gorgeous coat, a glorious fluffy fox tail., and amazing blue eyes. She's a great eater, doesn't love crate time, and prefers to sleep on her bed in her human’s bedroom, or on the bed with them. She's not vocal at all, which is contrary to her corgi nature. Her foster family didn't notice any prey drive so far, so the bunnies and squirrels are safe in your yard. She's potty-trained and knows how to use a doggie door, but needs to be watched and encouraged to use potty outside, at first. She becomes her favorite human's shadow right away, and will follow them everywhere. She loves to give little casual kisses to the back of the legs. Delilah is shy at first, meeting new people, but warms up pretty quickly. She would be great for a family with no young children (10+ may be considered), preferably no other dogs (she gets along but prefers to be the queen of the castle). Delilah cannot go to a home with another female dog. Potential adopters should be prepared for some resource guarding and how to reinforce positive behavior instead. Cats are unknown territory but also a potential source to trigger her resource guarding. She hasn't walked on a leash much in her early life, but warmed up quickly to the walkies, and now she's excited to go out for an adventure. She's spayed, chipped, and has all her vaccinations. If you are interested in meeting Delilah, the first step is to complete our meet and greet application at https://www.corgisandfriends.com/forms We require the application, home and reference check, and meet with everyone in the home. Delilah’s adoption fee is $425 and we do not adopt outside of Colorado.
