This handsome 1-year-old boy, hasn’t had the best start in life. Adopted at 7 months old, he went to a home that wasn’t prepared for the needs of a young, under-socialized German Shepherd. Without proper exposure or guidance, he spent much of his time isolated, living mostly in a basement.<br/><br/>Deke is doing so well since he’s arrived in our rescue and already beginning to blossom. He’s warming up to our volunteers and showing us just how sweet he really is. He’s still a bit unsure at times, which makes sense given his limited exposure early on, but we’re already seeing his confidence grow. He loves exploring on his walks and has discovered just how fun toys can be. Every day he’s making progress and it’s so rewarding to watch.<br/><br/>Deke is still young and has so much potential. With the right family one that will continue to gently expose him to the world and build his confidence he will thrive.
