Deja's Story

Available for adoption!
Do we have any shepherd lovers in this group that really want to make a difference in a beautiful girl's life? If so, Deja needs you! I admit that I would love to keep her here and watch her blossom but with now having 3 dogs here that are timid and afraid and 6 puppies with demodex, my time to sit with each scared dog is limited.
From what I was told, Deja had been running the streets awhile and had to be caught. Her "finder" really wanted to keep her but with his work schedule, he knew she needed more TLC than he could give her. That's when he reached out to us.
The vets guess Deja to be around 6 months old. She is very shy and withdrawn and is currently a "flight risk". She cowers when cornered or approached but she hasn't been nippy or growly. She just needs a very patient person with loving hands to help build up her confidence and show her how great life can be.
Her adoption fee is $300 to help cover the cost of her shots, spay, HW test, and microchip. We have no idea how she is with kids or cats but she doesn't seem bothered by the dogs next to her.
If you'd like to be Deja's hero, please submit an app at www.rubysrescueandretreat.org AND have your references reach out to me at rescuejeanann@aol.com. If you have previously applied and already have a current app and references on file, you can just send an email to express your interest.
Thanks for considering this beautiful girl who has certainly gotten off to a rough start in her short life
