DEAN's Story

I am a sweet boy, but I should not have access to chickens! Insights from my adventure buddies and foster friends: He is super sweet and friendly, gets tired a little fast but gets very excited. Dean is super curious and enjoyed making new friends! We went to Wilson park and on the trails where there were some other people who stopped to say hi and dean made friends with one dog! He’s so sweet, calm in the sense of no barking when we had him at all. He took a minute to trust us and get down with the adventure but soon adapted and had a fantastic time with dean! He is a great dog!

If you have questions or are interested in adopting a pet, please call 919-942-7387, option 3. If staff cannot answer right away, please leave a message and they will call you back as soon as possible. Voicemails will be answered in the order they are received. You do not need to be an Orange County resident to adopt a pet from our shelter. In order to adopt, please bring a government-issued photo ID (Driver's License, Military ID, or Passport). Some pets may not be able to go home the same day that they are adopted. Adoptions include vaccinations, spay or neuter, and microchipping.
