Deacon - in foster -

Sweet Deacon had visited the shelter a few times and the last time his people never came back for him. We hope it was because it was the best for Deacon but it's always a sad situation. Deacon has had a hard time adjusting to shelter life and has just moved into foster care. We had a full medical work up done and it all came back normal and he was started on anxiety medication to help him find some peace.<br/><br/>Deacon is food obsessed and this is likely connected to his anxiety and his foster mom is working on showing him that he doesn't need to worry food will always be available. <br/><br/>Deacon has more and more moments where he can stop and enjoy the moment and we know this will only continue to get better. He is housebroken and as long as no food or garbage is available to him good in the house. <br/><br/>Deacon doesn't seem interested either way in other dogs currently but because if his food intensity, no guarding or aggression has been seen, we think he might be best as a solo dog. Deacon needs a person who has some dog experience to help continue the work on decreasing his anxiety. <br/><br/>Deacon has a high prey drive and is not suitable for a home with cats or small animals
