DBOW's Story

Meet DBow! If you're looking for a dog who greets every day like it's the best day ever, DBow is ready to be your new adventure buddy. This handsome gray and tan, 60-pound American Pit Bull Terrier mix is about a year and a half old. He came to the shelter through no fault of his own after his owner passed away, and now he's hoping to find a family to call his own. DBow is always excited to get out and explore, but what he loves most is being with people. Affectionate, easy to handle, and eager to make new friends, he's become a favorite of the volunteers who know him best. Smart and food-motivated, DBow already knows sit and enjoys learning new things with positive reinforcement. He loves toys, especially fetch and tug, and after burning off some energy, settles into an enjoyable walking companion. DBow has been a star on Doggy Day Outs, happily exploring Bosque trails, strolling along the river, and even taking in the sights and sounds of the Albuquerque Railyards Market. He previously lived with another dog and would do best with slow, thoughtful introductions to new canine friends. Since arriving at the shelter last December, DBow has been patiently waiting for someone to discover what an affectionate and wonderful companion he is. If you're looking for a loyal, fun-loving companion who's always up for an adventure—or simply happy to spend time by your side—DBow is ready to brighten your days.
