Dax's Story
If you're looking for a dog who radiates joy, heart, and pure devotion, Dax is your boy. This 2yearold neutered male Pitbull mix wants nothing more than to be close to you, soaking up love and giving it right back. He's the kind of dog who melts into your hands, leans in for affection, and believes every person he meets is his new best friend.
Personality
Dax is a sweetheart through and through. His favorite things in the world are: Love, Kisses, More love
He's gentle, affectionate, and happiest when he's with his people. His spirit is bright, goofy, and endlessly endearing.
Mobility & Special Considerations
Dax was likely born with congenital neurological differences that affect how his rear legs receive nerve signals. What this means: He walks just fine and gets around easily on his own. When he runs, his back legs can't quite keep up with his front, causing him to swing his body and occasionally bump or scrape his rear feet. Because of this, he can develop superficial abrasions on his toes or feet. He doesn't need assistance to move around, and he's not in distress - he's simply built a little differently, and he embraces life with enthusiasm anyway.
Teh medical staff has given him multiple examinations and radiographs to get him to adoptions. He may benefit from booties when walking outdoors to prevent scrapes. Booties should be removed when he's resting or in his kennel so his feet can breathe and stay healthy. These small accommodations help him enjoy life to the fullest - and he absolutely does.
Ideal Home
Dax will thrive with someone who:
Appreciates a loving, affectionate companion
Can monitor his feet and provide simple protective care
Enjoys a dog with a silly, wiggly personality and a huge heart
He doesn't need anything fancy - just someone who sees how special he is.
