Dax's Story

Sweet Dax is all grown up and ready for his forever home! He came to us as the only survivor of a litter that was abandoned by their mom. All his siblings succumbed to the cold and Dax carries the scars of getting too cold. He lost the tip of his tail and most of one ear. He is a survivor and we are so blessed that he is still with us! Dax is now 11 weeks old and 4 lbs. He looks to be a chi/jrt mix and will remain small. He is fixed, chipped, dewormed and current on vaccines. Dax would love a home with another pet but prefers his siblings to be on the calm side. Loud noises, fast movements and excitement scare him. He would be best in a home with no small children. He is a darling little boy with tons of love to give, but does need time to warm up to new people and surroundings. Ozzies Pound Puppies's Adoption Policy

All dogs adopted are up to date on shots, dewormed, micro-chipped and fixed. We will assist in introductions to other family members, both human and furry ones. Our adoption fee is $300.00 - Fill out adoption application for the dog of interest. Application: https://www.ozziespoundpuppies.org/index.php/applications/adoption-application/ Allow us a few days to review and if the application is approved. We will get back to you with a basic interview questions. - Arranging a meet and greet with the dog of interest and yourself. - If all goes well during meet and greet and you would like to move forward we will contact you for a home check. If you are already an “approved home” you will get to take the dog or puppy home if we as a team decide it is a good fit at the meet and greet. ***Please note we are a home/foster based organization. All dog introductions are by application on file and appointment only. Important: Must be 21 years or older. If not, parent or guardian must provide approval to adoption or foster interest. If you are renting, your landlord must give the approval to fostering or adopting, NO EXCEPTIONS. If you are applying for a breed restriction dog you must own a home.
