Meet Dax! Dax is approximately 1 year old and is thought to be a Labrador/Shepherd-type mix. We cannot know for sure without a DNA Test, but we do know that he is purebred SWEET! <br/><br/>Dax was originally with another local rescue as a puppy. Unfortunately his foster home was no longer adequate for him, which is when we brought him in to our care. At first, he was a bit unsure of the shelter environment....which is understandable when a dog spends time in a foster home and then arrives at a louder, less structured environment. That being said, it didn't take him long to settle in and find comfort in his new humans! <br/><br/>Dax does well with other pets & children, and as long as everyone is properly introduced and supervised, he should adjust nicely in his new home. It's important to give him plenty of time to take in all of the new information from sounds, smells, commands, routines, etc. and allow him the ability to grow and learn with you. He's still young, so he would benefit from a family who is active and involved, and would enjoy teaching him more things! <br/><br/>Dax likes toys and does play fetch! He's a sensitive boy, and is treat motivated. He would be a great companion for daily walking, hiking, and playtime in the yard. If you're looking for a sweet family dog, Dax would love to meet you!
