Dawn's Story

Dawn survived what no dog should. She arrived at a high kill shelter, pregnant, starving, and infested with fleas and ticks. Her body was so depleted that she tragically lost three of her eight babies, but she never stopped fighting for the rest. Now safe, Dawn is finally learning what love feels like. Shes gentle, submissive, and still a little skittish, moving out of the way because shes never known kindness but shes trying every day, she now wags her tail, takes treats from my hand and plays sweetly with her puppies and our other dog. Her coat is shiny and healthy and you cant see her ribs anymore. Shes blooming into the dog she was always meant to be.<br/>Dawn is ready for her forever home as long as that person will love, give her patience a place to decompress when she needs to. Will Dawn be your best friend.
