While he can be a little shy when meeting new people, it doesn't take long for him to feel comfortable and let his sweet nature shine through. Once you've earned his trust, Dash is incredibly affectionate and would happily spend all day soaking up pets and attention from his favorite people. He loves being close to his humans and makes a wonderful, loyal companion.

Dash is playful and social with other dogs and has experience being around children. He can also peacefully coexist with cats, although he prefers to do his own thing rather than play with them. He enjoys his daily walks, loves exploring new places, and is always excited to hop in the car for an adventure. Whether you're heading out for a hike, running errands, or simply relaxing at home, Dash will be happiest right by your side. If you're looking for a sweet, loyal companion who will reward your love with endless affection, Dash is ready to become your very best friend.

What does the dog's ideal home look like?

Dash's Ideal Home

Dash would thrive in a loving home where he can be an active part of the family. Since he's a little shy when meeting new people, his ideal adopters will be patient and give him the time he needs to settle in and build trust. Once he feels safe, his affectionate and loyal personality truly shines. He would love a home where he can enjoy daily walks, playtime, and plenty of quality time with his people. Dash doesn't just want a family—he wants to be included in their everyday adventures, whether that's going for a car ride, running errands, or relaxing together at home. Dash would do well with another friendly, playful dog, but he would also be happy as the only dog in a home where he receives lots of love and attention. He has experience with children and can peacefully live with cats that respect his space. Above all, Dash is looking for a family that will love him unconditionally and make him a true member of the family. In return, he'll be a devoted companion who will happily stay by your side through every chapter of life.

What is the dog's rescue story?

Dash's story began with a lucky twist of fate.He was wandering the streets of Colima when he happened to end up right outside La Casa de Lugo Dog Sanctuary. The sanctuary team noticed him immediately and contacted us for help, knowing he was in danger with busy traffic passing nearby. We rushed to rescue him before anything could happen. After completing his veterinary care and medical protocol, Dash began his rehabilitation at La Casa de Lugo Dog Sanctuary, where he has been learning that life can be safe, full of love, and surrounded by caring people.

Today, Dash has blossomed into a sweet, affectionate young dog who enjoys the company of people and other dogs. He's left his life on the streets behind and is now ready for the next chapter of his journey: a forever home where he'll never have to worry about being alone again.

Could you be the family he's been waiting for?

Dash is waiting in Mexico until a family is committed to taking him on a 10-day trial adoption.

If you are interested, apply at www.northwestwagrescue.org

His adoption fee is $650
