He came into the shelter as a stray, and while not much is known about his past, we're hoping his next chapter includes a loving family and a safe place to call home. <br/><br/>Like most puppies his age, Darwin is curious about the world around him and ready to learn. He has the playful, happy-go-lucky personality that puppies are known for and will benefit from a family willing to guide him through all the important puppy milestones. From house training to leash walking, Darwin is eager to start learning and bonding with his people. <br/><br/>At 18 pounds already, Darwin may grow into a medium to large-sized adult dog. You get a 5 day foster-to-adopt (FTA) period to make sure its the right fit.<br/>4.) Final Decision: By the end of the FTA period, please let us know your final decision to adopt or return the dog to our rescue.<br/>5.) Home Visit: After the adoption process we conduct a home visit either in person or via zoom meeting to ensure that everything is going well with the transition and to answer any final questions you may have.<br/>6.) Neuter/spay for puppies: for dogs who are not fixed at the time of adoption, we will reimburse $125 for the procedure once we receive proof of spay/neuter. Application processing: we do a thorough background check, landlord approval (if applicable) or home ownership verification, vet check, and review your application. This process can take up to 5 business days. note: if renting, please have your landlord write letter of approval for you to have a dog, including breed restrictions, and either send to muttlifeapps@gmail.com or submit document during application submission.? Please authorize your vet to release medical information with Mutt Life. ? Application Decision: approved applicants will be notified via phone call and email. ?Foster-to-Adopt Trial Period: after approval, you have the opportunity to do a meet and greet and bring your dog home! You get a 5 day foster-to-adopt (FTA) period to make sure its the right fit. Final Decision: By the end of the FTA period, please let us know your final decision to adopt or return the dog to our rescue.
