This wasn’t an easy decision, and Darrow has already been through a lot in his life — including coming from a very sad and scary investigation a couple of years ago. Because of his past, he’s looking for a special home that will give him the patience, understanding, and love he truly deserves.<br/><br/>✠̈ About Darrow:<br/><br/>Darrow is reserved and takes time to warm up. He’s independent and prefers to come to you when he is ready for affection. Once he trusts you, he’s incredibly loyal and loving — but he is very wary of strangers and does best when his boundaries are respected. Because of his protectiveness, he’s not a fan of lots of new people and can nip if pushed before he’s comfortable.<br/><br/>Ideal Home:<br/><br/>• Calm, adult-only household<br/><br/>• Minimal visitors / low-traffic home<br/><br/>• No cats<br/><br/>• Quiet environment with patient adopters<br/><br/>He has lived with other animals before, but in his current situation he’s not doing well with them, and we want to set him up for long-term success in the right environment.<br/><br/>If you think you might be that calm, patient, big-hearted human who understands that love sometimes comes with a little work...
