Darla (Dresden #15)'s Story

One of 16 remarkable dogs rescued from a hoarding situation in Dresden, TN, is getting a second chance. After enduring dire conditions, they're now receiving essential care and learning new skills in foster homes. With time and patience, they'll flourish as cherished pets.

This is Darla. She is estimated to be about 9-months-old (born around 12/5/2024). She has experienced a life no 9-month-old puppy should ever have to endure - but she hasn't let that dull her shine. On the day she was rescued, just moments after being fed and tucked in for bed, she went into labor. She gave birth to two beautiful puppies, one of which did not survive. This 9-month-old baby now has a baby. Thankfully, now that she has been rescued, we will get her spayed and prevent any unwanted litters from this point forward. Darla is very sweet. She's protective of her baby but would do just about anything for a belly rub. She's turning out to be a caring and gentle mother to her daughter, little Darlin'.

The adoption fee is $400 which covers spay/neuter, rabies, Bordetella, 4parvo/distemper vaccines, 2 Lepto vaccines, several rounds of deworming, microchip, and a heartworm test.

Go to Lifehouse.petfinder.com and click on the adoption link to apply. We will contact you to set up a meet and greet.
