Meet Darla! Darla came to CCHS as a stray from the township of Fremont earlier this January. This pretty Red Heeler is about a year and a half old and weighs roughly 35.2lbs currently. Darla is an absolute ray of awkward sunshine! She is such a smart gal but didn't quite grasp onto the social skills so she hopes you can look past her being a bit forward with her affection! Darla is a tad protective of her food, so she'd prefer being the only dog in the home to avoid her anxiety around sharing. With any rescue, training and socialization are incredibly important to the success of the dog. Applications are not first come, first served. All applications will be reviewed by the adoption committee and the home chosen will be the one considered to be the best match. All dogs and puppies have been vaccinated for Distemper and Bordetella, dewormed and microchipped. If old enough, they will be vaccinated for Rabies and blood tested for Heartworm, Lymes, Anaplasmosis and Ehrlichiosis. Dogs and puppies will be spayed or neutered before adoption. <br/><br/>CCHS is proud to be a No-Kill Humane Society. As a private, non-profit charity, our work depends on donations and volunteers to keep going. We are committed to helping the animals that enter our doors and finding each the best possible forever home. CCHS has been inspected and licensed by the Department of Animal Health - DATCP. Our license is #268235-DS.
