Darla - Adoption Pending's Story
Please go to www.yvpr.org/adoptions to complete an adoption application.
YVPR does not respond to applications/inquiries originating from Petfinder. Questions about our adoption process can generally be answered by reviewing the Adoption FAQ's.

Darla is just the cutest! She is a 16 month old Jack Russell terrier. She weighs in at 10 lbs. She has a beautiful liver and white coat.
She is spayed, micro chipped and up-to-date on vaccines.

Darla was a very pregnant stray in an orchard. Some fellow rescuers tried to trap her with no success. They went back the next morning to check on her and she had been hit by a car.
Miraculously she only got a bit banged up. Darla went into labor while still recovering at the vet and gave birth to a litter of healthy puppies.

Darla is the sweetest! She’s very social and loves people including children.
She is fostered with other dogs large and small. She does well once acclimated with the other dogs she wants to play with them.
We do not know how she would do with cats.
Although she is a Jack Russell terrier she has medium energy. She would love regular walks, agility or hiking.
She was not housebroken when she first came into foster care but is doing well.
Breed experience is a plus!

An application must be filled out and accepted before a meet can be set up. If accepted, you will hear from us within 72 hours via email. You will have the opportunity to ask questions before you meet the pet; an adoption may or may not happen at that time.
We do adopt outside the Yakima area IF you are able to come to Yakima to pick up your adopted pet. We do not have a kennel facility; all of our pets are in foster homes. Therefore, meets and adoptions take place at either our office or at a place chosen by the adoption coordinator.
If a pet has 'Adoption Pending' beside its name, an adoption is imminent. Please fill out an application anyway because adoptions don't always go through.
Your application will be kept on file for 30 days in case you find another pet you'd like to apply for.
Thanks for thinking adoption and Good Luck!
