Darla's Story
Meet Darla! This beautiful 6-month-old Labrador Retriever puppy is looking for a family to help her continue building confidence and discovering how wonderful the world can be.

Darla was brought to the shelter by her breeder because they were concerned something might be wrong with her hips due to the way she walks when approaching people. After taking X-rays, we discovered Darla has beautiful hips — she is simply very submissive. When she comes up to you, she tucks herself down low and almost crawls because she just wants love and reassurance.

Despite being a little timid, Darla absolutely loves everyone she meets and has the sweet, playful personality Labs are known for. She is currently working on leash training and is proving to be a very quick learner. She also does great in her crate and keeps it clean without accidents.

Darla is spayed, current on vaccines, and started on heartworm prevention. She would fit in wonderfully with almost any family that can give her patience, encouragement, and lots of love while she continues to gain confidence.
