Darcy's Story
Meet Darcy!

Darcy is an adorable little terrier with cute “cat ears,” a sassy tail, and a personality that comes out more and more as she gets comfortable!

Darcy is a shy girl who is still learning that people and new experiences are safe. She enjoys being around her people and will nap nearby, but she is still very wary of human hands and does not want to be petted or touched. She will allow you to leash her up for walks, but her new family will need to respect her boundaries and let physical affection come at her own pace.

Darcy needs a home with at least one friendly, playful dog. A confident canine buddy helps her feel safe, shows her the ropes, and gives her someone to play with. When she’s with another dog, you really get to see her fun, happy side!

Darcy LOVES walks and takes her sniffing duties very seriously. She also has a bit of a prey drive and may enthusiastically launch herself after a squirrel, a frog, or even a suspiciously moving leaf!

Darcy is a funny, quirky little dog who wants to be part of the family—just without the hands-on attention for now. With patience, respect for her boundaries, and a good dog friend by her side, she’ll have the opportunity to continue building confidence and blossoming.
