Welcome Sweet Mama Darcy!<br/><br/>Less than 24 hours after arriving, this sweet mama delivered 6 adorable pups. Thank you to transport angels, for driving many hours to make sure this little mama didn't deliver in the shelter. We were alerted to a very pregnant, abandoned dog in a shelter and were able to fit her in. Most of our followers know that with the current devastating overpopulation crisis, we spay/abort whenever possible, even late term. We are literally turning away more than 100 dogs and puppies a day for lack of space. Dogs/pups already born and breathing are waiting without hope. When we spay/abort, we save mama the risks of labor, delivery, and nursing, and we can save more pups already here. If we can't get them to the vet in time, we welcome the litter with open arms, and more importantly, we make sure all get spayed/neutered and find great homes. <br/><br/>Darcy is maybe 12 pounds and about 1 1/2 years old. We're accepting applications for Darcy and she and her puppies will be available after weaning and medical clearance in approximately 8 weeks.
