Meet Darcie!<br/><br/>Darcie is a 4.5-year-old Australian Shepherd who is a sweet and gentle girl looking for a very special home where she can take things at her own pace. She came to us from a difficult situation and is extremely shut down, so she will need a patient adopter who understands that building trust and confidence will take time.<br/><br/>The good news is that Darcie is trying! In her foster home, she has been making small but meaningful steps forward as she learns what it means to feel safe and comfortable. She will need someone willing to celebrate those little victories and give her the time and space she needs to continue coming out of her shell.<br/><br/>Darcie is not going to be the dog who immediately runs up looking for attention, but with patience, consistency, and a quiet home, we hope she will continue to discover how wonderful life can be.
