He currently lives with two playful dogs and loves to romp and play, and he also shares his home with a small senior dog whom he treats with great respect. <br/><br/>Darby is a joy to walk ~ he’s a perfect gentleman on leash and always happy to head out for a stroll. For a puppy, he’s doing exceptionally well: he’s house-trained, knows how to use a dog door, knows how to sit, shake a paw, stay, lie down, and come when called. He also knows the drop and fetch command and has even learned to patiently wait for his dinner until given the okay. His intelligence and eagerness to please really shine.<br/><br/>Because of his breed, one of Darby's greatest qualities is that he will look to bond and devote himself to whoever becomes his person. Darby is bonded to his foster parents so he will need a patient person and preferably somebody who can take the time at the front end to transfer this devotion. He is slow to warm up to new people but with continued socialization he will do great. <br/><br/>Darby gets along fine with docile cats as long as they don’t run or act aggressive. With his sweet personality, great manners, and loyal heart, Darby is the perfect boy to fit into a loving household.
