Daphne Mae's Story

Meet Daphne Mae!

If you’re looking for a happy, silly, fun-loving girl who is always ready for an adventure, Daphne Mae may be your girl!

Daphne Mae is an energetic pup who loves everyone and gets along great with other dogs. She’s playful, affectionate, and has the sweetest personality. Give her a squeaky toy, a good chew bone, and some room to run, and she’s one happy girl! When playtime is over, she’s perfectly content snuggling up on the couch with her people.

This girl is also a total comeback kid! Daphne Mae was found on an expressway with a broken leg, believed to have been hit by a car. After everything she’s been through, you’d never know it today—she’s fully healed and living life to the fullest!

She’s house-trained, kennel-trained, learning leash manners, rides great in the car, and even thinks bath time is no big deal. She has also completed professional training and has a wonderful foundation of skills to continue building on.

A fenced yard would be a great bonus for Daphne Mae so she has a safe place to zoom and play, but it’s not a requirement for her. As long as she gets plenty of exercise, playtime, and adventures with her people, she’ll be a happy girl!

She’s been through the hard part. Now she’s ready for the fun part: a forever family, a comfy couch, and a lifetime of love.

Could you be Daphne Mae’s happily ever after?

Adoption fee is $360
Email: dogs@almosthomefoundation.org

Almost Home Foundation's adoption requirements:
(1) Be at least 21 years of age;
(2) Have the consent of all adults living in the household;
(3) Have approval from the residence owner;
(4) Have valid ID with current address;
(5) Be approved by Almost Home Foundation as a suitable adoptive home; and
(6) Live in the suburbs surrounding Schaumburg (Illinois Residents only)
*** Please note that Almost Home Foundation accepts only cash, Zelle, or checks for adoption fees; we do not accept debit or credit cards. ***
