Meet Daphne — a 9–10 month old Dane/Pittie mix with a HUGE personality packed into a 60-pound body!<br/><br/>Daphne came to us from a shelter in Georgia where she was at risk of euthanasia, and she’s been making the most of her second chance ever since. She’s full of life, curiosity, and love — the kind of dog who wants to be right in the middle of whatever you’re doing. If it’s happening, Daphne wants in!<br/><br/>✠̈ What makes Daphne special?<br/>• Sweet, affectionate, and LOVES to cuddle (yes, she thinks she’s a lap dog )<br/>• Happy-go-lucky personality that will make you smile every day<br/>• Smart and learning quickly with consistent training<br/>• Already working on leash manners, “sit,” and polite routines<br/>• Sleeps well in her kennel and settles nicely at bedtime<br/><br/>âš¡ What she needs from her forever home:<br/>• An active family ready to help her burn off that puppy energy<br/>• A confident, consistent owner who understands strong, high-drive dogs<br/>• Continued training to help her polish her manners (she’s eager and improving!)<br/>• A home that can manage her prey drive — fast-moving things are VERY exciting to her ï ̧<br/>• Ideally, another well-mannered dog to help show her the ropes<br/><br/>Daphne LOVES to play — fetch is her favorite (we’re working on the “bring it back and drop it” part ). We require a fenced yard (exceptions made on a case by case basis - NO exceptions for puppies or deaf/vision impaired dogs - no invisible fencing), that stairs in the home be covered with some sort of slip resistant material to prevent injury, that all other animals in the home be up to date on vaccinations as well as spayed/neutered and that all dogs live inside as a part of the family.
