Herroooo West Coast! My name is DANNY and here is some info about me:<br/><br/>PHYSICAL INFO:<br/><br/><br/> Breed: Labrador Shepherd Mix<br/> Age: 8 Years 3 months approx.<br/> Gender: Male<br/> Weight: 34 lbs (15.2 kg) <br/> Height: 45 cm (paws to head)<br/> Length: 58 cm (nose to butt)<br/> Current Location: Guadalajara, Mexico<br/><br/><br/>RESCUE STORY - I was rescued off the street in Mexico by a vetinarian here, and she made sure I was taken care of right away. My rescuer did say I was quite withdrawn at first, but that's because I didn't have a hooman to take care of me for so long. I was kinda sad and lonely which totally makes sense. I've been with my rescuer for 3.5 years and still nobody has claimed me.. I think it's because of my colour? Can't be anything else because I'm a kind, sweet and chill boy. <br/><br/>TEMPERAMENT - I am truly the best boy (seriously, everyone tells me so!). I am very calm and affectionate and really love being around my hoomans. I like to stay close to my people! When I greet a new hooman I like to bark! Just saying hellooooo :) Also... thunder storms kind of scare me and I rather hide while there is crazy rain outside. I'm a pretty independent boy but I am very affectionate and like being around my hoomans and will come up to you and ask for some snugs. <br/><br/>ENERGY LEVEL - Moderate. I like to play but not all of the time. If you give me a ball then yaaaah I will play and show you all of the love! <br/><br/>GETS ALONG WITH:<br/><br/><br/> Kids – Unsure. <br/> Dogs – I'm great with female doggo's but have shown to be selective with how I behave around males. Here I am playin' with my pals! <br/> Cats – No problems so far! I've been around them for years and there is no issue. <br/><br/><br/>PREY DRIVE - I'm not too sure how I'll react around squirrels/rabbits etc., but I'm guessing they'll also be pretty tempting hehe. My adopter needs to be prepared and willing to train me through these behaviours, should they arise.<br/><br/>TRAINING:<br/><br/><br/> Leash skills – I am used to leash walks. Here I am struttin' my stuff! P.S. my only reaction to a leash is pure happiness—I absolutely LOVE going out for walks. <br/> House trained – Yuppers!! However regression is normal and expected after a change in environment. Positive reinforcement, consistency and patience will set me up for success!<br/> Crate trained – my rescuer says this is a work in progress :)<br/> Car trained – my rescuer says this is a work in progress :)<br/><br/><br/>HEALTH NOTES:<br/><br/><br/> I am neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. <br/> I had a few owie's on my belly and skin when I was rescued and an injury there that required some surgery. It took a long time to heal but I had exceptional care and the vet was patient and helpful.
